NHS In Crisis: Rochdale Demo

20 January 2018

Details:

On 20 January Littleborough Lakeside Labour will be campaigning to save the NHS between 11:00am and 1:00pm on Yorkshire Street, Rochdale.

Meet by the 'sheep' statue near the shopping centre.

We would like other wards too to come and say no to austerity cuts and further privatisation.

Make a placard, wear your nurse's uniform but please make it clear that Rochdale says NO to the Tories running down our health service, NO to closing wards and hospitals, NO to lies about adequate funding, NO to selling off even more of our vital services.

Please invite your comrades in the trades unions, disability campaigning groups, churches, community centres - everyone who cares about having a decent society that cares properly for its sick.

We believe that the town centre offers us a wider audience, a bigger catchment than does Littleborough.

If you're nervous about taking part, remember that you can do as much, or as little, as you feel able to do.

Hand out leaflets, hold a placard or simply be there, it all shows people that the Labour Party is there, and it cares about the NHS and its future.

Please turn up if you can, make a placard, wear a relevant T-Shirt, but be there for our NHS.

Littleborough Lakeside Labour: Councillor Janet Emsley, Councillor John Hartley, Councillor Ann Stott JP
